2022 Fulbright Alumni Ambassador: Sara Sajer

Congratulations to Kosovo alumna Sara Sajer for being selected as a 2022 Fulbright Alumni Ambassador!

The Fulbright U.S. Student Alumni Ambassador Program was established in 2008 to identify, train and engage a select group of approximately 20 Fulbright U.S. Student Program alumni each year to serve as representatives, recruiters, and voices for the Fulbright Program. Fulbright Alumni Ambassadors represent the program's rich diversity and play a key role in increasing knowledge about Fulbright opportunities.

During her Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) in Kosovo, Sara taught English to 200+ university students at the University ‘’Isa Boletini’’ in Mitrovica. Outside of her classroom responsibilities, Sara led an extracurricular conversation club, which served as a casual creative outlet for participants of all proficiency levels. Additionally, Sara engineered interactive lessons for the U.S. Embassy’s American Corner and the NGO Community Building Mitrovica on a weekly basis. As a Fulbright Ambassador, Sara will assist potential applicants on how best to meet the Fulbright Program's ultimate goal—to increase mutual understanding between the people of the U.S. and the people of other countries.
